The consolidation of different functions is a contemporary trend in the world of objects, as an economic strategy and as a conceptual and cultural approach. The teapot and the terracotta are both partake of a long-term historical process, which gave rise to ongoing traditions and ceremonies. From the Chinese Yixing teapots all the way to the English Brown Betty – they all have strong characteristics of material, structure, shapes and function. The Brown Batya offers an alternative structure and silhouette for the classic tea pot.
This project is dedicated to our beloved Batya.
