The consolidation of different functions is a contemporary trend in the world of objects, as an economic strategy and as a conceptual and cultural approach. The teapot and the terracotta are both partake of a long-term historical process, which gave rise to ongoing traditions and ceremonies. From the Chinese Yixing teapots all the way to the English Brown Betty – they all have strong characteristics of material, structure, shapes and function. The Brown Batya offers an alternative structure and silhouette for the classic teapot.
